Updates To Website

At last, all of the work on our new website is finally coming together, and with our Testimonials now divided into categories, it has made it very easy for you to find out what our customers have been saying about us for each specific type of Disco. I’m so very happy to say that we receive so much great feedback. It’s always awesome to pick up emails telling us how well we've done at their Party. Vernon Francis - Owner, City Nights Discos

Useful info and Typical Running Order for a Children’s Disco

Useful info and Typical Running Order for a Children’s Disco: We can do a Disco for any age group and even for mixed ages. We use the term ‘children’ to represent (about) the 4 to 8/9Yr old age bracket. We can play to almost any number of children… but please bear in mind that playing Games, organising Competitions and handing out Spot-Prizes (particularly with younger children) represents a huge part of what we do for them. Inviting anywhere between 12 and 35 children makes organising games and competitions very manageable. With fewer than about 12 children, games etc may not work quite as well, whilst with more than 35, they can sometimes become a little more difficult to organise!

Having a DJ for Wedding and a Band

It’s always worth checking with both the DJ and the Band about their thoughts and requirements on working alongside other Artists of any form. Most DJ’s and Bands should be happy sharing the limelight, but things like the amount of space available, when to set-up, who’ll be setting up where, set times and any logistics involved are certainly things to consider.

Having a DJ in a Marquee for Your Themed Party

Most DJ’s are very happy playing in Marquees, but they do often require a little extra work, and as such, some DJ’s charge a small ‘Marquee’ supplement. A DJ can usually play in almost any outside location as long as he has weather-proof cover (top and sides) in case of rain as almost all DJ kit is not waterproof in any way. Set-up can be done on most surfaces, but the DJ area for setting up needs to be solid and stable. This usually and ideally means NOT on a temporary staging or similar. Most of this type of staging is not designed to have the kind of tripod stands most DJ’s use put up on them.. The set-up area must also be on a level surface and not on a slope of any kind.
