If you’d like us to mix a selection of the best party favourites for your school disco, then why not send a playlist in advance.
We are happy to organise games, competitions and activities for younger children. The types of games we’ll play will be targeted at the age group attending and we’ll also be delighted to receive ideas from you too! Certain competitions or games work with certain age groups and not with others, and some are difficult to organise with a big crowd, whereas others work better with large numbers. We’ll get things just right, whatever the age group or however many guests are attending. We’ll also join in and demonstrate the moves to some of the songs and we can also give out spot prizes too!
At every school disco, our experienced DJs run a fantastic selection of party games that keep students excited and engaged. We mix up the entertainment with crowd favourites like Name That Tune, Boys vs Girls challenges, and high-energy Dance Off and Sing Off competitions. Traditional games like Musical Bumps and Musical Statues remain as popular as ever, while Balloon Races and Arches get everyone involved. We also organise interactive activities like Treasure Hunts and Corners to maintain the fun atmosphere. One of our most popular requests is for a split disco; this is a school disco party that lasts at least a few hours, split up into one to 1.5-hour slots dedicated to each age group. A split disco will involve a different style of disco to suit each age bracket so that everyone can feel like they are in the spotlight during your school disco party.
Your DJ will choose the activities of your event based on the following age groups:
4 to 7 year olds
Children between the ages of 4 and 7 typically need much more interaction and direction from the DJ than older children. We’ll provide a children’s disco for them. For information about children’s parties please click here.
8 to 11 year olds
For 8 to 11 year olds, we can break the ice in many ways while providing less structured interaction – giving a much more grown-up feel to their disco. We’ll provide a combination of our children’s and teen’s discos to suit this age group. Your can find more information about teen discos here.
12 to 16 year olds
For 12 to 16 year olds, we will create a more clubby-type environment and make the school disco cool with plenty of the very best current chart music and party songs. You can find more information about here.
