For one thing, it boosts staff morale and also lets the faculty know that their boss isn’t just some uptight corporate CEO that barks orders and breathes behind people’s necks. A party in the workplace is also a good thing because normally the office is where the staff spends 40 hours out of their week doing some sort of task as per their job description.
