For us, Christmas truly is the most wonderful time of the year! It’s a time when we get to kick back and unwind after a year of hard work, spending time with family, friends, and coworkers. It’s what makes Christmas parties one of our favorite events of the year.

What makes our City Nights Disco Christmas parties so much fun? Why, it’s the office Christmas party games, of course! Games make it fun to compete with coworkers, promoting both a healthy spirit of competition while bringing coworkers closer together and boosting morale. A morale boost is definitely one of the best ways to improve performance.

If you want some great Christmas office party ideas, you’re in luck: we’ve got a few office Christmas party games you can play at your party. These games are a fun way for your employees to relax, and you’ll find they will kick your office Christmas party up a notch. You’ll have everyone laughing, cheering, and having a great time with our game ideas below.

Candy Canes

Try this awesome Christmas version of the classic game of “Spoons”.

  • Cost: £10-£20
  • What you’ll need: 1 candy cane per player, plus 1 deck of cards per 6-10 players
  • Number of Players: 6-10 per table, as many tables as you want

Have everyone sit in a circle around the table, and place a candy cane in the middle of the table for each person. Now remove one candy cane—one less cane than players.

Give each person four cards. Place the deck in front of one player, and have them draw cards from the deck one at a time. They can only have four cards at once, so they must discard the cards they don’t want. The discarded cards go around the table clockwise.

The goal of the game is to get four of the same number. The first person to get four snags a candy cane. Once the first candy cane is taken, everyone else can grab one as well. The person who doesn’t get a candy cane is “out”.
