It takes a certain type of DJ to do a Chidrens party properly.

We don't just come along and play some music in the hope that the children will have a good time..... we really do get involved! We do this by showing children the moves to some of the songs, playing their choice of games and giving out 'spot-prizes' for 'best' (or worst!!) dancer or singer, best dressed, best couple, etc,... and by being completely approachable, friendly and interactive.

We'll play their very own choice of music too, we'll gladly accept a music playlist, and any other instructions you may wish to give us... our aim is to personalise the disco in every respect.

We have vast experience of working with children, and we can guarantee to get it right!!

The only thing we'll ask you to provide will be some prizes to give out- you can spend as little or as much as you like on prizes, but a multi bag of funsize Mars bar type sweets is sufficient. Prizes are a sure-fire way of keeping the childrens' attention throughout.

You may also wish to consider wrapping up a 'pass-the-parcel' or two.... another guaranteed hit with the younger ones.

Useful info and typical running order...

You can invite as many children as you like... but anywhere between 15 and 30 is a good number for games and competitions. Too few and they don't work terribly well, too many, and they're difficult to organise!
We recommend a 2 hour Disco for this age group.
A typical 2 hour Disco consists of us starting gently as not to scare anyone, and introducing a competition (best dancer/loudest singer etc.) with prizes for the winners to warm things up.
Then a game or two mixed in with music of the children's own choice and plenty of songs with 'actions' or 'moves' to which we organise or demonstrate.
The games we tend to play are 'music' based (chairs, statues, bumps, stumps, arches, etc.) but we'll be happy to organise other games too if you so wish.
A break for 'tea' half way through- this can be proper sit-down tea or just a break for drinks, crisps and a reminder for younger ones to use the toilet!
Then Birthday Cake with blowing out of candles and we'll organise the singing of Happy Birthday.
Then (for younger ones) a sit-down (to let the food go down) for Pass-the-Parcel.
Then back to Disco, music, games, competitions, spot-prizes etc.
here's no 'set-routine' as such- but this normally works well.
The truth is (as with ALL Disco's we do) we 'play-it-by-ear' and decide what to do/play next based on the reaction to the last thing we did.
